Firm Profile
John Kinnear Architect practices primarily in New York City, Connecticut,
and Dutchess County, with projects throughout the United States and Great
Britain. Mr. Kinnear maintains a general architectural practice in diverse
project types and styles, believing that successful design is a function of
proportion, rhythm and balance, and that these principles apply to all
architecture.
Recent projects include the restoration of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century
homes, The British Garden in Hanover Square, NY, medical facilities in
Washington, D.C. and Houston, as well as new homes built with
traditional materials. All projects incorporate energy conservation
balanced sites and “green” design.
Mr. Kinnear is President of the American Friends of the Georgian Group
and Chairman of the Architectural Advisory Committee and Village
District Consultants in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
